What Is Cable Modem?
Cable Modem is the next generation of Wifi. It provides you with a faster and more reliable internet connection. It's time to leave dial-up in the past and use a Cable Modem today! The Cable Modem is a device that modulates and demodulates an analog carrier signal to encode and decode digital information (including uploading, downloading, and streaming) that is transmitted via radio frequency channels using hybrid fiber-coaxial cable (HFC) and radio frequency over glass (RFoG). The cable and architecture provide the high bandwidth required for Internet access. Through these modems, the Internet provider can deliver Internet access to many subscribers through a single coaxial or fiber cable. Coaxial and fiber cables have limited bandwidth, so the more subscribers connected to a single line, the slower the connection will be for each subscriber. Using modems, a single cable can be shared by many subscribers, reducing the connection speed for each subscriber but increasing the total number of subscribers whom a single cable can serve. This is especially useful when there are many subscribers in a small area. For example, in apartment buildings, a single cable can be shared by many subscribers, reducing the connection speed for each subscriber but increasing the total number of subscribers a single cable can serve. If you explain the difference between the Internet service provider, gateway and modem to your friends, upgrading to a cable modem might be time. A cable modem is the go-between for your computer, tablet or phone and your Internet service provider's router. It receives information from one end, sends it through its IP address to another stop, and repeatedly repeats this communication with other network devices. The best part about a cable modem is that it does more than connect you to the internet. Invite your friends and family for dinner, and watch a movie with a cable modem. Everything is up to you.
