That's right: SLA (or stereolithography) is an additive manufacturing process that builds solid prototypes, patterns and products from CAD drawings. It enables the construction of reliable plastic prototypes weaved from a CAD-powered laser beam gun. The laser beam gun creates layers of material by tracing patterns onto a vat of liquid resin. As each layer is made, it hardens into a solid structure. This means you can build your object layer by layer until it's finished. No need for support or scaffolding! Stereolithography is a process of applying materials in layers to make three-dimensional objects. It uses a vat of liquid resin that hardens when exposed to ultraviolet light from a laser. The machine traces the pattern of the constructed thing by moving across it, building up the object layer by layer. Stereolithographic devices can be used for making prototypes, models or molds for casting solid objects in plastic, metal or other materials. SLA, or stereolithography, is a process that uses ultraviolet lasers to create layers of a model or prototype, similar to how an inkjet printer produces a print. It's great for making smaller parts because it can complete them within hours, not days or weeks, like some additive manufacturing processes. The material used in SLA printing is liquid plastic or curable photopolymers, solidified by the ultraviolet laser as it draws the object onto the surface layer-by-layer. Once one layer has been hardened, it is exposed to ultraviolet light again to merge with the previous layer.SLA is an excellent method for creating prototypes and smaller models. It's quick, easy, and gets the job done!
