What Is Macintrash?
Macintrash is not a term used by Apple. It's a term used by people who don't like the Macintosh computer, typically used to describe the various aspects of the Macintosh that they dislike. There are many reasons why people might dislike the Macintosh computer. For example, the internal hardware may need to be updated or underpowered for everyday tasks. The operating system structure may need to be clarified or easier to navigate, or the overall design or interface could be more appealing to users who prefer PC-like designs. Whatever your reason for disliking Macintrash, there's no need to feel bad about it! You can express your dislike politely and respectfully by simply saying, "I'm not a fan of Macintrash." Macintrash is the term used to describe Macintosh computers or, more specifically, Macintosh owners. The term is typically used by anti-Macintosh (i.e., people who prefer IBM-compatible desktops and laptops). The term Macintrash is derived from the word "trash". It originated in the late 1980s when Apple was at its highest peak of popularity with its famous "1984" television commercial featuring an Orwellian Big Brother figure that was defeated by a young hero using a Mac. The term Macintrash is used to describe the Macintosh computer, and it's also used to describe the operating system of the Macintosh. It's a helpful word because it can be applied to many things. For example, if you're a hacker or black hat who has been trying to hack into the Macintosh operating system for years with no success, then it would be fair to say that you've been "Macintrashed." It could also mean that you're not very good at computers or are you really into Microsoft Windows? You should probably stop using that as an excuse for being technologically unsophisticated, though—it's time to grow up and move on from your Macintrash ways!
