What Is Horsemanning?
The term "horse-manning" refers to a style of photography in which one subject appears to have no head while only the other person's head is visible. It creates a humorous and often bizarre photo shared widely online through websites and social media. Horsemanning is a way to pose for photographs in which the subject appears to be decapitated. This Internet meme involves two issues in various poses so that one person seems to have no head while only the other person's head is visible. To create a house manning photo, you must position your body to face the camera and your friend's head is behind you. It can be a challenge, especially if you are taking a selfie. You will also need to position your friend's head to be above or below your head, depending on which direction you want the photo to go in. After taking a photograph, you can share it on social media or with friends. The legend goes that if you say "horse-manning" three times before bed, the Headless Horseman will ride in his sleep and steal your breath. (If you don't have a sleep-talking partner, it's believed that saying "horse-manning" near a mirror will also work.) The 'manning' part of the phrase is believed to have been derived from the word "riding". In this case, the term has a double meaning, as in addition to referencing the act of riding a horse, "manning" can also be used to describe a male passenger. Horsemanning is an Internet trend that involves two people, one lying on their back and another standing over them. The person lying down holds a horse mask over their face, and the person standing over them has a camera at arm's length above the cover. The resulting image shows the person standing like a horse's head and neck and lying down like a horse's body.
