What Is Home Data Center?

Home Data Center are the new hotness. Well, it is just so very true. If you're looking to get into the game of hosting your servers but want to do it in your home, a home data center is the way to go. Unlike most data centers, which are large and industrial-looking, home data centers are sleek and compact. They're designed for personal use—the kind of thing you'd put in your garage, basement or bedroom. While they look great, they also have everything you need: servers, storage, networking and power and cooling resources. There's no need to worry about finding space—you can start with as little as one server and hard drive! You'll wonder how you ever lived without this incredible technology! They may have a dedicated server for work or research that runs all the critical applications but may not have enough storage to store all the data generated by that critical server. In this case, they can create a data center in their home and keep most of their necessary data there. These data centers can be built using existing commercial products (e.g., Synology NAS) or created using open-source software using Raspberry Pi or other embedded systems. They will all require high-speed, high-capacity internet connectivity to access critical data. If you've got a spare room, you can use it to store your data center! A home data center is typically housed within a space of the home. It can have anywhere from a couple of servers to hundreds in a rack-mount or blade server configuration. A home data center is less potent than a typical data center, but it is capable enough to execute small-to-medium scale data center services. So do you know what they say? Home is where your heart is.
