What Is Glasserati?
The Glasserati is a new elite. They're more "computer literate" than the average person and more socially aware of what's happening around them. They know how to use Google Glass, and they like it. After all, they are wearing it. Glasserati is a term for people who have dedicated themselves to learning about Google Glass and the art of integrating it into their lives. Like literati and digerati before them, their knowledge of their subject area is akin to an elite cadre that others can only speak with respect. Google Glass is an innovative yet controversial technology that significantly shifts the interaction of lifestyle and technology. Some critics argue that Google Glass can negatively impact some aspects of human life, while others say it is nothing short of revolutionary. However, some see it as an exciting way to move forward into the future of technology, and others see it as a solution for everyday problems such as searching for information, reading text messages and social media updates, among many other things. The new generation of smart glasses allows users to take pictures, send texts, and make phone calls with their voices while wearing the device in public. The device is worn above the eyes like traditional eyeglasses. The term was coined from the term Gutenberg, who was responsible for the invention of the printing press. Google Glass is currently more expensive than a laptop or desktop computer but offers more convenience. Unlike a computer, Google Glass is hands-free, and voice activated. It can record what you see and hear and upload it to the Internet. It can provide you with directions and information. It can allow you to communicate with others via video chat. It can let you access the Internet without wires and without taking your phone out of your pocket. Google Glass is currently in the early adoption phase of the technology adoption curve. You can only expect some people on the street to own a pair of Google Glasses, but you can expect significant growth in the next few years.
