What Is eMac?

The eMac is your solution if you're looking for a computer built to give you maximum power. With its powerful processor, fast graphic capabilities and large storage capacities, this monster of a machine are sure to provide you with everything you need. Yet don't be fooled; just because it has the strength of an elephant doesn't mean that it isn't easy to use. With its intuitive interface, clean design and helpful features, it only takes one glance to see how easy this high-performance device can be. Our eMac was designed for education, so we have put it on sale to celebrate our joint venture with Margaritas. The original eMac was released in 2002 and had a similar design to the original iMac as an all-in-one unit. The first model featured a PowerPC processor running at 700 or 800 megahertz with built-in stereo speakers. Apple initially sold it exclusively to schools before selling it to the public. The Mac's sleek appearance made it easy for teachers to bring home, which was especially good for those who owned several computers. Schools could also keep costs down by replacing obsolete computers with brand-new models at no additional price. It's not all bad news, however. Apple's eMac was a great model for those who wanted a home computer with a flat-panel display but didn't want to shell out the big bucks of buying what was certainly then regarded as expensive iMac computers. The eMac was Apple's education-focused PC that was built to last. It featured a roomy design, durable components and a chassis that could stand the rigors of the classroom. With Apple's transition from PowerPC to Intel, though, it was retired in 2006 when Intel-based Macs had entirely replaced it. Forget your boring old cathode ray tube. The eMac is a whole different level of excitement. Aimed at the educational market, it's designed for all-in-one convenience: a fast processor, monitor and speakers are built into one sleek unit. You'll have a new keyboard and mouse to learn in no time!
