What Is Dilbert?

We live in a world where "geek" is used liberally. It's applied to people who are good at math, people who are good with computers, or even someone who has a passion for something. But if we're being honest, most of the time, it's used as a pejorative—to describe someone who's not socially adept and probably isn't very good-looking either. But some geeks have the technical prowess and social graces to be considered cool. And now you can be one of them! You see, a term describes people like us: Dilbert! Adams has rejected the time, arguing that it has negative connotations and that people who work with computers should not be stigmatized. He has also claimed that the term was coined by Microsoft employees who did not like engineers choosing not to work at Microsoft. Microsoft has denied this. Where did the time come from? Dilbert comes from a cartoon about an engineer named Dilbert. The original comic series debuted in 1989 and followed the life of Dilbert, an engineer working on a cubicle farm for a large corporation. The comics have been syndicated in over 10,000 newspapers in over 100 countries and translated into over 50 languages. Dilbert is a cartoon strip that follows the life of Dilbert, an engineer who works at a large corporation. The pointy-haired boss is often a character in the comic strip, representing many negative stereotypes about management in technology companies. He is often portrayed as completely inept at everything he does and utterly unaware of it, which can be funny to read about. The other characters in the comic strip represent stereotypes of different types of people who work in technology companies, such as Dilbert's coworker Alice, who is always looking for a date on Friday night.
